Nuwara Eliya is one of the main cities in the hill country of the Central Province, Sri Lanka. It is at an altitude of 1,868 m (6,128 ft) and is considered to be the most important area for tea plantations in Sri Lanka. Nuwara Eliya is the coolest main city in Sri Lanka.
